Shiatsu Massage and Energy Healing Practice

If you are completely new to Inner Fire Works, or if you heard about us through a friend, we hope that this site will help answer your questions about who we are and what we offer.

Shiatsu Practice

Paulus and I both offer Shiatsu treatments in the classical Japanese style, on a futon on the ground. We can also offer treatments on a massage chair. Shiatsu is a very effective treatment modality for complaints involving pain or poor circulation. Many people also use Shiatsu to reduce the effects of stress and help maintain good health. We are members of the NVST, and our treatments are covered by most insurance companies.

Energy Healing and Self Discovery

I (Emily) also offer energy healing, separately or in combination with a Shiatsu treatment. These treatments are focused on releasing physical, emotional and spiritual blockages. As an intuitive healer and channel, I frequently work with past lives and Spirit Guides, and integrate techniques from Reiki, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Resonance Repatterning, and Family Constellation work, as well as Bach Remedies, essential oils, etc.

We have signed a rental contract on a beautiful house in Averbode, Belgium! The property includes a separate building with a large garage for Paulus and a 67m2 space (with toilet and kitchen) for our healing work. Our official move-in date is May 1, but we are already moving furniture and boxes into the workspace there. In June, we will go to America for two weeks, and after that we will divide our time between Utrecht and Averbode.

In Averbode, we will be planning an open door and putting together an agenda of workshops, concerts, meditation evenings, etc. We welcome contact from healers, musicians, yoga teachers, etc., in the area!

While in Utrecht, we will be giving private treatments in the practice room of a friend, Carla Rombouts. (Carla has her own practice in Reiki and Shambala, but it isn't very busy -- yet!) Her address is given on the contact page.

A new option for patients, starting in April, will be combination energy treatments, from Emily, Carla, and another friend, Wendy Woldring. These treatments will combine all the "special" treatment modalities that the three of us use: channeling, Reiki, Bach remedies, Healing Arts remedies, constellation work, chakra work, sound, light, color.... A treatment will cost 75 Euro and won't be covered by insurance, but we believe that the "team approach" will make the results very powerful. Sessions will last 1 hour, followed by 1/2 to 1 hour to discuss the reactions and give support.

Bed and Breakfast

Our Bed & Breakfast is unfortunately now closed, because it was too difficult to combine with our other activities. We needed to use the guest room for office space....

Handyman Service

Fortunately, our "klussenbedrijf" or handyman service is getting more and more work. We will be able to continue accepting new assignments in the Netherlands even while we build up a client base in Belgium.
